Research
The Relate Institute is currently engaged in a number of
research projects including evaluative studies of outcomes for
service users of Relate. Research of this kind is vital in
building up the evidence base of the effectiveness of the services
that are provided by Relate.
In addition to the evaluation studies of Relate services, The
Relate Institute promotes and supports the research undertaken by
its own masters level students which is based on the clinical work
they are engaged in whilst on placement. The Relate Institute
also welcomes research proposals from researchers outside of Relate
who wish to conduct research that might involve Relate clients and
staff. Researches who wish to be involved with Relate in this
way are able to obtain further information and guidelines on how to
gain ethical approval by contacting Nick Turner, the Director of
The Relate Institute at nick.turner@relate.org.uk.
